Challenge:
Whistle was originally brought into the Warriors Women fold on a crisis comms footing, with responsibilities also extending to supporting the club’s digital channels.
After successfully navigating a period of administration and securing a takeover, Whistle helped the Warriors plot a positive future course on and off the field and to re-establish itself as a leading force in elite women’s rugby.
Solution:
Whistle helped the team establish a clear comms and social strategy in the interim, geared towards the local community and filling the elite rugby void that was created in Worcester after the men’s team collapse.
We managed a content capture event geared around the team’s new kit reveal and banked interviews with management and players to use as a rallying cry for support. This content fed into our strategy that was designed to position Warriors Women as a club worthy of a place in the Premier 15s.
Successful PR outreach helped bring focus to the future of rugby in Worcester, with a reach of more than 100 million being secured through collaborations with national media outlets.
